Lolo & Pops

Lolo & Pops on the shelf.

Lolo & Pops have been singing their own quirky mix of originals and covers around Sonoma County since 2007. Their only official release, “Bound For Dreamland,” (see below) will be followed by an album: “Let’s Go Kill An Hour.” They are shooting for a digital release sometime in 2024. Here are a couple of tunes, one from the former and one from the latter:

Cover of Laura & Paul's CD, "Bound For Dreamland"

Says Lolo,”When we had little babies, I’d sing them to sleep with songs from the Sacred Harp. I found that if I replaced “Jesus” with “mother,” and “death” with “sleep,” these beautiful shaped-note melodies became perfect lullabies.”

The Sleeping Californian, from “Bound for Dreamland”.
The Allist Hymn (Lolo), demo from the upcoming “Let’s Go Kill An Hour!”.
